Electricity:
The main fuse box is in the storeroom off the hallway. It is well annotated but if you have any questions then please do get in touch.
Heating:
There are radiators in all the rooms and each of them has an individual control setting. There is a central wireless thermostat and timer on the wall in the hallway which controls the boiler. We will take you through all the controls and settings at the start of the tenancy. This video is also a very good guide to how to set the Honeywell Thermostat.
Hot water:
Hot water is controlled by the boiler which has clear setting for control. We will take you through these. You can also refer to the user manual online
Store room:
As well as the main fuse box you will find the mains water stop cock and the emergency gas valve. There are also cold water and hot water stop valves for the shower.
The smoke detector/alarm has its own circuit which is now
turned off as we have installed a battery-powered unit.
Alarms:
There is a carbon monoxide detector/alarm on the kitchen ceiling above the fridge/freezer and a smoke detector/alarm on the hallway ceiling. Please check them once a month.
Insurance:
We have Landlord Insurance that provides cover for damage to the property. It does not cover any contents and you will need to insure your own belongings with a Home Contents policy that meets your needs.
